annie leibovitz and alice sebold

this is called an amore cup. aku kana lanja just because aku baik, i.e. aku dangankan a friend shop and i helped her choose between dior bags. a day of shopping and ice cream makes ana very happy and gay. and apparently very screwed up because i no go do essays that day.

di mana kah engkau... oh wiwiii~

and as i sing that, it is to a tune from a classic malay ballad, that may or may not have existed...

perhaps only in my mind, yes?

yoy, ko sudah baca 'Almost Moon', the new book from Alice Sebold? apparently it's about this girl who kills her own mother. macam siok bunyinya. aku tunggu ia kuar in paperback, tapi lama kali lagi, cz it just came out like a few wks ago, i think.

inilah gambarku yang paling recent.

ia black and white and abit tilted supaya aku ada rasa macam artistic sikit. HAHAHA. screw you and your photographic abilities! its as easy as... that. unless aku annie leibovitz. who is annie leibovitz? go google it, you stupid self-proclaimed "photographer".

a personal fave:

first time i saw it, i was amazed at how beautiful the photo is, and how she managed to capture their intimacy. (yoy, thats yoko ono!!!) john lennon was shot just outside the building where this photo was captured, moments after. creepily enough, i think the photographer also managed to capture a sense of poignancy in the picture that seems freakily prophetic.

it's a picture of love and romance. his passion (note the clinging position) complements her contentment (note her expression). you get a sense that he would do anything for her, and his naked figure represents a sense of passion that is raw, a love stripped to it's deepest core. it's a contrast against the fully clothed yoko ono, who although content to be in his arms and the object of his desire, possesses a reserved nature that portrays a cloud of doubt that surrounds the relationship (this is what i was referring to, when i said that i thought leibovitz, managed to capture a sense of sadness as well). a doubt that sadly ended with lennon's death.

THIS is what i call true photography. THIS is talent. THIS is a picture that speaks a thousand words, that makes you speechless at first sight, that renders anyone who sees it helpless in falling in fascination of the photographer's presentation of his/her subject(s). THIS IS WHAT PHOTOGRAPHERS DO, NOT TAKE STUPID RANDOM PICTURES IN HOPES THAT PEOPLE, UNLESS IDIOTS, WOULD FALL FOR YOUR MOCKERY OF WHAT YOU THINK IS CALLED ART!

its an outrage. its an insult, and photographers around the world should be offended.
